AdhocParty Finally Coming To North America

AdhocParty Finally Coming To North America Japan has been enjoying Adhoc Party for one year now. The service enables over the Internet play for ad-hoc (read: local wi-fi) games like Monster Hunter Freedom Unite via a PlayStation 3.

Sony Computer Entertainment America will release an English version of AdhocParty on the PlayStation Store this month. This list of supported games should be similar to the finished Japanese version, which includes Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Gran Turismo.

Can’t wait to play Dissidia online? The Japanese version is compatible with many North American games including Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

    Finally! Yay!

This would have been incredibly useful to have over here when Dissidia first came out, but the userbase is probably a bit lower now.

Everyone could have just downloaded the Japanese version. Works just fine, you just can't read anything unless you understand Japanese.

Glad the US version is coming though because then Adhoc party will get a lot more exposure. Adhoc Party is the reason why I like the PS3 better than the 360. If Adhoc Party wasn't there, I'd like them the same, but it's the killer app that makes the PSP an even better system. Pretty much all local wi-fi games are online.

That's great news. Looking forward to using it in English.
