Want to dress Rachel up as a secretary? You can do that next week when Tecmo releases a Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 costume pack on the PlayStation Store. The 800 yen ($9) costume pack includes four outfits, three of them are new. Ryu’s extra costume was also given out as a pre-order bonus.

Koei is hoping to rake in extra cash with paid DLC too. The Samurai Warriors 3 box art has the dreaded red Nintendo Wi-Fi logo. Samurai Warriors 3 will launch on December 3 in Japan and next year in North America.

Nine bucks for four outfits?! Wow.

Huh... it's common enough, I wonder why people are still surprised.

The Sigma 2 costume pack is indeed out on the US Playstation Store. It's comparatively cheaper than the Japanese one too - $3.99 for the four costume set.

As for Koei, they've been pretty good about DLC for the recent US releases of the Musou games. In fact, it has all been FREE.

    * DW6 Empires has 16 armor sets and a couple BGM downloads.
    * Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 had ten free mission dowloads.
    * DW Strikeforce (PSP) has had seven free quest packs.

Going on their recent record, I'm not too worried about Koei being overly greedy/abusive with DLC. Of course, that's always subject to change... but they should be commended for the add-on content they've released so far.

I'm a bit annoyed that the Ryu outfit was already given away to those who pre-ordered or got the LE. I already have it and would like something else...
