The Girl Who Leapt Through Space Jumps To DSiWare

imageI.T.L. picked up the license to Sora wo Kakeru Shojo (Sora Kake Girl) and made a DSiWare shmup with it.

Sora wo Kakeru Shojo Shooting has four levels of horizontal shooting action. Initially, Akiha is the only playable character, but you can unlock Itsuki and Honoka. All of the characters pilot QT-ARMS, which can switch between ship and mech mode.

Sora wo Kakeru Shojo Shooting joins the growing list of Japan-only DSiWare shooters on November 25. If you imported a DSi you can pick it up for 500 DSiWare points ($5).

  • Nice. I'm still enjoying the Alice shmup by Genterprise, but I'll check this out. There's so many interesting games and aps. I want to try on the JPN DSiWare, it would be great if they would finally release a few of them for other regions already.

You confused the title here. "Sora wo kakeru Shoujo" and "Toki wo kakeru Shoujo" are two different franchises.

I have a japanese dsi but how do you connect to the net? i was told you can't in america........ anyone now how?
  • You definitely can. I had trouble at first, too.
Basically, you just set up it up the same way as would a normal DSi. Makes sure all the info and connections are set.
When I had trouble I rebooted the router and checked the encryption. After trying to connect through the DSi Shop I was finally connected (it took a few tries, though. Not sure why).
I'm not *exactly* sure what finally made it connect, but it's been working great since.
    Hope that helps!

omg thankyou thankyou..... do u have like aim or something or an email to walk me through it at another time? Also I can use an american visa right?
  • Yeah, I think my info is in my profile, but it's real easy to do! Just got to feel you way around if it doesn't connect the first time.

I d/l the games with the 1,000 points that already came with the DSi, but yes, I also heard that you could buy points through the JPN DSi with a credit card.
Sadly, I don't think the Nintendo Points cards you find in stores will work on it, but as long as you have a credit card you should be good to go.
  • One thing Nintendo did right is you can buy Japanese Wii or DSi points with any credit card. :)

Eddie - Here's a quick guide on how you can get your Japanese DSi online.

Go to the setup menu (wrench icon).
Head to page 3. Click on the last option "internet".
Now you're in the internet menu. Pick the first option to find a router. The three slots are access points. Click on any one of them since you shouldn't have a router saved.

Then hit the top option to scan for an access point. Pick your router from the list, enter the password (if you have one) and you should be all set.

    Good luck!
