Yep, Namco’s Countdown Clock Was For Digimon Story: Lost Evolution

By Spencer . November 20, 2009 . 7:42pm

Sadly, we were right. The “RPG_LOST” countdown clock reached zero and revealed Digimon Story: Lost Evolution. It’s a Nintendo DS game scheduled to come out next year.

Countdown clocks are usually reserved for massive announcements. If you were hoping for Digimon your wish has been granted (enjoy!), but this countdown clock and Sega’s Wacky World of Sports reveal for Japan will go down as the two disappointing teases of 2009.

    Lost indeed.

    • MisterNiwa

      More like bamboozle’d.

      How could this be happening!?

  • Genjo

well i guess Digimon is one those franchise that’s not going to die anytime soon lol so i guess they going try milk as much out digimon as they can.

  • (and I’m probably going to lose so much credibility for this XD)

I’m probably one of the only people on here who genuinely likes Digimon… But anyways, I seriously hope they tweaked the system. Digimon Story 1 was actually fun to play. Trying out Moonlight (or Dusk) was such a chore because of the crazy-high encounter rate and the quest style of the whole game.

On another note, I don’t really like the human art… Reminiscent of the original series (pre-Savers) art, but kinda … off. Eh, I’m probably the only one who notices.

On another note, I was definitely hoping for a Wonderswan games remake. Eh, maybe someday.

I don’t like the human designs either. It’s like they took early Digimon art and eliminated the personality that the characters had.

your not the only one who noticed and yes im happy for the game even if dawn and dusk where grind fests they were still good fun just reduce the grinding and encounters and the game would be great that and the missing evos. dont really dig the character art thou i am surprised that they used a countdown clock .

  • azez

    Oh crap
am really sick of those Countdown Clocks

  • epy

Stay tuned for the next countdown clock that turn out to be the new Cooking Mama. Seriously dissapointed by this.

  • Wow. Hax. I quit.

    What’s next, Medabots?

    Actually that would be awesome.

    • Medabots already has a DS game. It was revealed a few months ago, around the same time as Okamiden.

      • Kris

I need to stop making rhetorical questions that actually have answers. :)
I hope that Medabots game turns out well, but I’m curious if there’s still an audience for both that and this new Digimon game.
So to improve my last question…
        What’s next, Fighting Foodons?

  • ndjn3979

Wow, another major slipup by Namco. I can now see why other people say Namco sucks. The only thing they need to do to earn absolute hatred from me, at this point, would be the **** up the T6 online patch, which they are probably doing HARD at this point.

  • meeeeeeeeeh , i like digimon stories too but «« …….
meeehhh ,oh well moving on ««

  • bubbba123

    Ugh. So sad…

  • Crap, Stay Lost. T_T

  • if is better than the old ds digimons, im up for this

  • uuuugggg
    lost crap!

  • Saturnus

I don’t know what to say.

  • The Digimon anime was awesome back then but I never really got into the games. My interest in the series also dropped overtime too so I won’t be playing this either.

  • I think I’ll buy this one. I used to love Digimon, so I might as well.

  • ShinNoKami

    >> Am I the only one who’d actually like the prospect of a new Digimon game? Hopefully, it’s better than Digimon World. Dusk wasn’t so bad, IMHO.

  • w00t the male protagonist wears goggles! I’m curious about this game, I hope I’ll like it, I haven’t played a really good digimon game since the PS1 days, DW1.
