Well I like that the D-pad on a controller is pressure sensitive; so I can move faster or slower depending on how hard I press down on a direction. Sure, not all games use this, but on a stick, its not even an option.

I only use a controller for a shmup if I really have no other option. I really enjoy it on the stick; reminds me of the shmup arcade fun I use to have. I'm surprised you stick with a d-pad. Yeah, unless you're using the analogs on 360… No comment on that 360 D-pad. Ew.

Who wants to play them on a D-pad period? I would have imagined you, in particular, would feel that way being that you play fighting games and build sticks. Unless it's just the usual flame against the 360…? We need a SUPER “Senko No Ronde” Arcade stick… Like Virtual On! ;) Get on it!

Let's not forget they changed the name to Wartech in the US. I picked up the US version for $10 and never even put it in. I didn't know we shared servers with the Japanese. That's good to know if I don't feel like switching consoles out. We'll have to play sometime just for the fun of it.

Yeah, it's actually fun playing against someone online. I was surprised there were quite a few Jpn players playing this still the other day. I suppose it's an uncommon combination btwn danmaku and fighter. I got it for $20 before it dropped to 10. Not sure what's the chance of this being localized (probably not much). I have a feeling it might have done better w/ a better cover art since people would think it's an anime game? I know I hated the lame US cover art.

I'm not sure how well the second one did in the arcade but the first one… wow, we had a line going at Club Sega. It was fun! It's a shame when it came to the states, without marketing as you stated Spencer, it plummeted to $10 in a matter of two months or so. A problem with this game series is that it's not nearly as fun when you're not playing _against_ someone or a friend [Read: Fighting Game]. So keep that in mind if you're willing to spend the full price.

Hmm, the more region-free Japanese arcade games I see, the more interested I get in the 360. Let's hope that this one follows that trend.
