Virtua Tennis 2009 Is PS3 Only In Japan

When Sega released Virtua Tennis 2009 it came out on all three consoles here. The Wii release was one of the first MotionPlus games, even beating out the domestic release of the dongle.

Famitsu announced the Japanese version, PowerSmash: Live Match, and outlined some of the wacky mini-games like zoo feeder. The game won’t come out until spring 2010, almost a year after it debuted here, and over there its only for PlayStation 3.

Strange to see Sega play favorites, especially when the already have Wii and Xbox 360 versions ready.

Bizarre. Virtua Tennis 3 bombed on PS3, I'm surprised they're even bothering.

well it's not going to sell well on the 360 so that's understandable but curious why not a Wii release.
  • Remember that leaked Sony/SEGA document? Right after that, we followed with the Yakuza announcements and more recently with Sonic costumes in LBP. This could be part of their marketing agreement in exchange for exclusivity.

    Conspiracy.

Next Shenmue & Shenmue II as HD-Remake for PS3!
  • If that leaked document were true (doubt it, but maybe...), then we might actually see them on PSN as downloadable DC games.
