BlazBlue: Battle x Battle Gets Cute For Nintendo DS

By Spencer . December 11, 2009 . 1:33pm

image Ever imagine super deformed BlazBlue characters in battle royale? That’s what BlazBlue: Battle x Battle is.

The 500 point ($5) DSiWare game was announced in a NicoNico video cast. Four players can pick BlazBlue characters and fight each other with an easy to learn control scheme. Looks like of Smash Brothers-ish with a top down perspective.

Arc System Works will release BlazBlue: Battle x Battle in Japan sometime in January. Aksys is getting into DSiWare games so I suppose they’ll bring this out later.

An unlimited thanks to Len, for the tip!

It’s interesting that Arc seems to be trying to get BlazBlue out to everybody. It seems that they really care about the characters. I hope they don’t go overboard with spin-offs though.

  • they really want me to buy a DSi dont they

Smash Brothers with a top-down perspective? Sounds kinda like the PSX game Rakugaki Showtime (from the screenshots, it kinda looks like it too).

    • It reminds me more of Pokemon Rumble, which was also very fun and perfect for a download game. I’m looking forward to it!

I like these Blaz Blue Radios. I watched a few and even though I don’t understand what’s going on half the time, watching the English segments are well worth the price of admission.

Speaking of ASW, they updated the Kuniokun site.

anyone who knows of rakugaki showtime is my friend.

      • Rakugaki Showtime is a bundle of joy! Of course, _anything_ Kunio-kun is, too.

I guess this is as close to BlazBlue Petit you’re gonna get…

  • Guilty Gear Petit meets Power Stone!

I… I’ve barely imagined BlazBlue characters at all! The console game’s not even half a year old!

    OH NO!

    I’m a huge BB fan, and I don’t have a psp! D:

I don’t think its possible, but I hope they bring it to the psp with all my heart..

      and I don’t have a dsi*

  • It’s sort of strange that they have turned this into a small flagship of sorts. When Guilty Gear was in it’s prime I don’t think they had given it this much exposure in such a short time. Oh well, can’t complain.
