The Simpsons Takes On Super Mario Brothers

In this week’s episode of The Simpsons, Bart wishes he had a brother and dreams of Super Mario Brothers.

Mario and Luigi make a cameo in one of Bart’s dreams.

There’s an Xbox bit too where Bart plays The Iceman Killeth, a made for TV, first person, snowman shooter.

Ugh, they are really trying to cash in on gaming lately, aren’t they. More than they used to, even.

  They’ve always had Bart jam on video games throughout the entire series. I don’t see how this is cashing in on video games. The Spike VGA’s are a cash in, not a few video games in the Simpsons.

  The WoW episode was maybe a cash-in, but this was cute!
  I’ve always loved game references in The Simpsons (the ones in their games, as well). I mean, who can forget Bonestorm?
