Nintendo Sending Fancy Kiosks To Retail

By Spencer . December 18, 2009 . 2:00am

Nintendo Sending Fancy Kiosks To RetailNintendo is upping their retail displays in Japan with camera activated info stations. Flash a Wii or Nintendo DS game at one of these to play a trailer.

The search guide kiosks, one for floors and another for counters, are also equipped with touch screens. Users can scroll through two weeks of software, read Nintendo channel recommendations, and sales data from Media Create.

Nintendo’s Wii/DS search guides won’t be available everywhere, but four large stores like the Bic Camera in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo will have one of these.
