Letter Bee Game Has Its Heart Set On March Release

Letter Bee Game Has Its Heart Set On March ReleaseTegami Bachi: Kokoro Tsumugu Mono, a PSP game based on the Letter Bee series from Konami, is scheduled for March 4, 2010 in Japan. The game follows Lag and Niche as they deliver packages.

Konami calls Tegami Bachi: Kokoro Tsumugu Mono an adventure RPG, but the combat screenshot looks more like a console RPG. Maybe, something like classic Phantasy Star. The system is said to have simple commands and players can adjust the timing of Lag’s heart bullets in battle. Instead of an overworld, players move on a board game-like world map.

After each successful package delivery, Lag gets tougher missions and a chance to grow. He can become a postmaster type or guardian type and each type changes the story in some way.

Sweet, I was afraid it’s another adventure game. Simple or not, rpg elements are always welcome!

Oh this looks interesting, but March is a bad time for me. Maybe I’ll check it out later on.
