Korg DS-10 Plus has a luxury Korg DS-10 didn’t have, a wide retail release at launch. Xseed, perhaps to celebrate the warm reception by retailers, made funky box art for their music making software.

Instead of a dull grayed out picture of a synthesizer, Korg DS-10 Plus has an iPod-like dude scratching a DS and an explosion of hip graffiti art. The cover art is bright, eye catching, and refreshing. It makes Korg DS-10 Plus look like a fun game. Just hope people realize this is a music making tool and not Techno Rock Band.

When I saw this at Amazon I had to tell Eric at Tiny Cartridge about it since we seem to be on completely different planes when it comes to boxart designs (personally, the N.A. Infinite Space’s is way prettier, imo), but I may have to hand it to him this time! I do like it because it reminds me of a wallpaper I used to have, and the vibrant design should catch a few eyes that missed the first one. They’d get a kick out of it even though it’s not one of those “music games”!

I’m kind of torn between elegant, modest designs and eye-catching ones. I had no idea the Phantom Brave slipcase had an holographic cover. It’s was so nice looking, the regular case cover, too!
