BlazBlue Shifting To Budget Status

Shortly after Arc System Works publishes BlazBlue Portable, they’re going to reprint the console game. A budget version of BlazBlue with the ASW Best Selection label is slated for Japan on March 4.

Reliably leaky retailer Game Star has BlazBlue (ASW Best Selection) for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on their pre-order list. It’ll have a suggested retail price of 3,990 yen ($43), which isn’t that cheaper than a North American game after changing currency. European readers might want to take note of this news since BlazBlue still isn’t in PAL territories and the Japanese version has an English language option.

But this makes no sense since Continuum Shift is coming out shortly after that. >.> I guess SFIV will be hitting official budget at the same time (Since im sure it hasn't yet but sold for the same price).

Yeah, but over at Japan, they have a thing called “Append Edition”. It doesn't apply to PS3 games like these per se (Guilty Gear Accent Core and Plus). They might do an append like that for PS3.

    wtf?
Why don't they just release CS in with the same price? its just 2 mere characters, unlike SFIV 8~10

I want the new one, Continuum Shift. I'm kinda hoping for some more all new characters, then just 2 and a slight balance and play adjustment, but I'll be getting it either way, especially since Hakumen is getting beefier and the big 3 are receiving a much needed bitch slap.

Continuum Shift completely changes the system so its kinda hard to make an appended edition. >.> Honest, from what I have seen I expect more change to the characters in BlazBlue than I do SSF4. Honestly, little hope in change from SSF4. More characters = more chance to screw up the balance.

2 more characters and a entirely new system. Multiple changes to old characters though Litchi mostly left intact.
