Fist of the North Star Musou Trailers, Now More With Exploding Bodies

By Spencer . December 28, 2009 . 2:38am

Koei shared two videos of Hokuto Musou (Fist of the North Star Musou), a Dynasty Warriors style brawler with the Fist of North Star license.

The first trailer is a pre-rendered clip that highlights the main plot. You can follow Kenshiro’s story in Fist of the North Star Musou and a punch through an original story made just for the game.

Speaking of the game, here’s what it actually looks like.

Did you notice the exploding bodies? Fist of the North Star Musou, like the manga, is going to be brutal. Hokuto Musou is slated for release sometime in March 2010 in Japan.  Special thanks to Andreas for the tip!

Another japanese game id like to be localised =_=

    • I’m confident this will be picked up. Koei USA sent us news about Fist of the North Star too, which is a little unusual. Even with other major titles they’re announced in Japan first by Koei then by Koei USA.

There’s that and the fact that Koei USA’s forum has a message board specifically dedicated to it.

I don’t even like Dynasty Warriors, but regardless, I want this game.

  • Pumped for this one.
Always loved the Macho-Style of Hokuto No Ken’s Universe.

Koei stated they expect it to sell atleast a million in Japan sometime earlier and that fans of the series wouldn’t have to worry because they’re making sure it gets a US release.

I’m a huge Hokuto no Ken fan. I hate Dynasty Warriors though. However, if this games storyline is shown to be consistent with the anime series then I’ll love it regardless of the crappy DW gameplay. It’d be like watching the series while playing the game.

Hopefully the original storyline isn’t the only story though. I’d like to have the story based on the anime series itself and then a new story second.

Where’s the Kenshiro’s signature Kung Fu yell? I wasn’t big on DW or Gundam Musou, but I’m hyped for this as a fan of the series.
