Jewelry Master Twinkle, Moe Tetris For Xbox 360

The title pretty much sums up Jewelry Master Twinkle. It’s a Tetris-like falling block game with three difficulty modes and three girls. As you erase blocks and jewels, the girls talk to you and change outfits, if you score enough points.

Jewelry Master Twinkle is actually based on another Arika game. No, not Tetris: The Grandmaster Ace. Arika originally made Jewelry Master for PCs. The Xbox 360 version adds the date-like background scenarios and a replay mode which allows you to save your best runs. While Jewelry Master Twinkle was made in Japan, Arika translated the menus and dialogue into English.

You can get Jewelry Master Twinkle from the Xbox Live Indie Games channel for 400 Microsoft Points ($5).

  • Interesting to see “bigger” developers tackling XBLIG. I kinda doubt this will sell outside of Japan though.. interesting nonetheless.

Cool, will try the demo to see if I like it to get the full game, the girls’ design are very cute. I hope it would have some nice animation like Numblast (Choco moves as you press up down left right), that game is very hard though, and I have yet to get the numblast trophy by clearing the whole board :(..

  • The character designs look very familiar…
It would be fun if the girls were actually trying to distract you while you play. The goggles and the random greetings from a stranger are a nice start!
