imageDark Spirits, a side scrolling shooter from Genterprise, will kick off the 2010 DSiWare lineup in Japan on January 6, 2010.

In Dark Spirits players fly with four familiars. Each of these spirits is powered by souls and can develop individually. Like other titles in Genterprise’s G.G. series, Dark Spirits is a 200 DSiWare ($2) game.

After Dark Spirits, Genterprise has a DSiWare tank game called D-Tank slated for January 14, 2010. Prior to these, Genterprise released two other DSiWare shmups Z-one and the Alice & Wonderland themed game, Wonder Land. So far, none of these games have been released internationally.

  • Wonder Land was quality fun. Slow vertical shooters usually don’t bind with me very well, but this offered a decent challenge and for 200 points it’s one of the better deals if you’re into these games.
This new game actually reminds me more of Z-one, but Dark Spirits looks like it has a far more interesting challenge. I really need to add some more points soon…

It would be fantastic if a few of these games appeared on the N.A. and PAL shops already. I wonder what’s the hold up? These games will no doubt stand out to kids and older game players alike, really bring some oomph to the DSiWare.
