Namco Bandai Serving Up Gundam Assault Survive? [Update]

By Spencer . January 4, 2010 . 4:53am

imageJust last month, Namco Bandai published a Mobile Suit Gundam game for PSP and they already have another Gundam game on their plate.

Gundam Assault Survive, which Amazon Japan has in their database, might be the next portable Gundam title. The retail listing is the only mention of Gundam Assault Survive since it hasn’t been officially announced. However, the game may be coming soon. Amazon’s listing says Gundam Assault Survive is slated for release on March 18.

Update: Looks like this is going down. On top of the Amazon listing we searched the Japanese trademark database and discovered Namco Bandai registered the rights to Assault Survive.

You want a good Gundam game? Try playing Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus. It is easily one of the best portable games that has come out in a long time and is an incredibly fun 3D fighter similar to Virtual On.

    • Damn, Traveler beat me to it. Gundam vs gundam next plus is the way to go

  • Hey, this one is made by Artdink-they’ve made some of the best Gundam games, not to mention some of the best licensed games ever made. Their Gundam Battle * series (not to be confused with the 2D Gundam Battle Assault games) have some of the best 3D mech combat and controls, and tons of characters and suits from the shows, and even some based on obscure works and toys. This one is supposed to have over 300 mobile suits that all play differently, and this time, there are units from non-UC series.

This probably doesn’t mean anything to people who aren’t Gundam fans, but bottom line: I expect good things from this game.
