A lot of their supposedly "bad" games are blamed on him, even though I don't believe he has much to do with the production process. Funny he done playing Uncharted 2 and getting into MW2 (I just finished the first Uncharted, started 2, and starting CoD4 MW). I actually got into Gears of War at the recommendation of Sakaguchi, it's weird I know (and maybe he was saying that for Microsoft at the time), but I never was a big fan of FPS or TPS, so I thought if the Gooch likes it, maybe there's a chance I would too, and I never look back, great game indeed, cinematic and had a nice cover system, which is what Uncharted incorporated into its gameplay.

I'm not sure if I want Western developers handling a series as distinct as FF, well, it's been going into all sorts of directions anyway, and in my opinion not always been great. FF XII and XIII are both imperfect for me, compared to the ways I totally enjoyed 7,8,9, & 10 (6 too of course), where the characters were captivating and story totally sucked me in. But yeah, Batman Arkham Asylum was great, the stealth aspect was definitely cool like MGS, hats off to Eidos, or Rocksteady rather, for pulling off making an awesome game w/ the iconic Batman (got to admit there was a lot of crap based on superheroes), one of the GotY hands down.

P.S. What I can't stand is they put the numbering the MMOs XI and the upcoming XIV, those should not be treated as part of the main series.

Nice interview w/ Wada. Sometimes I see such hate for him on FF-oriented sites and I'm not sure why.

I would LOVE to see what Square Enix could do with the FF series if they incorporated some elements from Western games. Currently I am so engrossed in Dragon Age and would love to see that kind of party interaction in a FF game. Still very excited for FFXIII but I don't think it's a bad idea for Wada to force the teams out of their comfort zones.

I don't know much about Wada, but from the few interviews I have read, he seems to be very level-headed.
