Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars Has Brand New Endings

The original artwork done by Tatsunoko won’t be in the North American version. Capcom commissioned Udon to create all new endings for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

As announced by Udon on their blog, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars will have 26 new story endings. Morrigan’s ending definitely looks different. In the Japanese version, Morrigan’s story ends in a non sequitur way with her playing the game.

I suppose that means Saki’s Quiz Nanairo Dreams parody ending and Ryu’s “appearance” in Lost Planet are out too.

Hmm… I hope Arthur still makes it in (forgot which ending he appeared in), at least as a nice nod to the original.

Udon was also used for Capcom Fighting Jam’s endings. I haven’t played that one, but I usually like Udon’s work, only as long as Omar keeps his distance. Sorry, SF Legends was great, but for anything else he touched …I just don’t see what all the high praises are for.

There’s a little bit of confusion going on here.

In the original characters would have a few pictures accompanied by text and then be treated to a short animated clip afterward.

Udon is replacing the Still Artwork. It’s going to be the Same ending plot wise.

Also the Live Stream showed the end credits still crediting the “Extra” voice actors from the Animated Endings (in Morrigan’s case, the voice of her butlers) So it’s safe to say the animated endings are still there.

yeah that does prove that doesn’t it i’m just glad there still there

Ah, thanks for this! Yeah, the endings in Cross Generation of Heroes had art and animations, but the Udon blog says the endings in Ultimate All-Stars are all “new”?

      • Choppasmith

Well it IS new art, technically. I’m guessing the NEW characters (Blade, Frank, Yatter 2 etc) won’t have Animated Endings. But the returning ones still will (probably with added subtitles).

Like I said, the only evidence that shows the cutscenes are still in were the credits shown during a recent Live Stream. The same credits didn’t list Yatterman#2, so at the time people were convinced she was out. They could very easily, put her name in and take out all those extra voice credits out, though it seems unlikely, otherwise they would’ve done it sooner.

Another thing Seth got caught saying was that Mini Games despite not being selected in their latest build, there’ll still be there with new ones.

Speaking of the mini games, I hope they increas the amount of Zennies you get from playing them. I set my nephew on the task last time, but I don’t think that’ll work twice.
