Too bad Amazon.ca is never sync’d with the US site for news like this.
However, I still don’t know who to hold out for, in case of yet-to-be-announced exclusives or special editions.

I’m still hoping there’s SOME sort of Special Edition for FFXIII..I mean c’mon…

crystal chronicles the crystal bearers had this as well

You know I actually got a really great deal on Crystal Bearers because of Amazon’s mix-up. When I pre-ordered it, I saved $10 w/ my discover card, so it cost $34.99, and there was also supposed to be a $10 credit for future game purchase once the game ships. But there was a glitch and no one ever rec’d their credit (I chk’ed out Amazon’s CB forum). So I went ahead and contact Amazon and they gave me $10 back, so now it’s $24.99 right? Another screw up was they didn’t ship the calendar which was supposed to be a bonus, so later on they shipped me another copy w/ the calendar and let me return the old one, on top of that they gave everyone another $10 off due to their mistake. So I got the game for like $14.99 w/ the calendar! Pretty neat right :)?

wow. neat and lucky! I wish Amazon.ca had these promos as well. Amazon.ca daily deals are laughable compared to Amazon.com, but some games are cheaper on Amazon.ca then Amazon.com (and vice versa as well).

Too bad games are not allowed to ship across borders right? Otherwise our Canadian brethren could take advantage of these deals too :) Yeah, I was lucky, at first I thought I was screwed because there was no $10 nor calendar, but it actually turns out for the best :) I wasn’t too worried though since Amazon customer service always compensates you if you voice your concern, sometimes you need several tries..

I think you can, but the shipping is ridiculous (ok maybe not so ridiculous, but it adds up) and long (and I’m not sure but I think duties are also calculated into the shipping which is why it’s so pricey). I really like free and fast shipping so it would have to be something either very hard to find or crazy cheap for me to order from Amazon.com instead of buying it here (retail or amazon.ca). XD

Amazon’s been having deals like this on many many games. This is great since I pre-ordered it back in Christmas and got a $10 discount w/ the discover card promo, that w/ another $10 credit back when the game ships, that’s going to come down to $36.99, same as my Bioshock 2. So that kind of balanced w/ my import I guess lol (85 + 36.99) / 2… Wish the game was better though..

Honestly, while this is nice and all, I think I’m just going to cancel my preorder on FFXIII and wait until it’s cheap. The bugs I could’ve dealt with, but hearing about how empty the game is is incredibly disappointing. Getting $10 off is pretty cool and all, but saving $59.99 + tax/shipping is even better.
