Rockman Zero Collection Z-Busts On Nintendo DS

By Spencer . January 14, 2010 . 10:40pm

imageCapcom is packing the entire series of Mega Man Zero games on a DS cart called Rockman Zero Collection.

Other than revealing Rockman Zero Collection and announcing the April 22 release date for Japan, the official site is light on details.

Mega Man Zero 1-4 for 4,190 yen ($47) that’s all we can be sure about now. Fingers crossed for director’s cut style extras and/or rearranged stages.

Special thanks to Denpa no Sekai and kurono for the tip!

  • I own all 4 of the Zero games, but I’m buying this anyway.

  • zhemos

I’m totally buying this but I think It’d be much better on the PSP. :

    • wharcraff

My thoughts exactly. Bring it as a cart for DS, but also get a digital download for the PSPgo/PSP contingent. Also UMD if you’re feeling generous. Then Finally you’d have a reason to use a PSPgo.

  • fallen

I might end up buying this just for the ability to play the games with four face buttons without having to emulate them on my computer (which, I can’t help but notice, isn’t portable).

  • Wow, this rules! I only own Mega Man Zero 1 and 3 on the GBA so this is a must buy for me.

  • Zefiro Torna

Take THAT price-gouging resellers to whom I almost considered buying from. A huge thank you to Capcom for saving my funds and sanity, now I can finally own and play the Zero series from start to finish.

  • kylehyde

I only get the first game and I love it, I’ve never have the chance of playing the rest of the series so this is a good chance for me.

  • Advent_Andaryu

This is great, I love the Zero series! You know I’d love to play as another character as an addition to the collection. Like Copy X maybe? Or even Harpuia…

But all anyone would need is a tweaked difficulty choice, especially for the 4th MMZ. Compared to the others, 4 was way too easy.

  • nyoron

I guess this would be a good chance to try this series again. I could never really get into MMZ because I never liked playing as Zero. I thought ZX was awesome… until they took Model X away from me. So for like a few minutes. I never liked the MMZ character designer much either.

Eh, maybe I should just play MMX Collection again.

    • Advent_Andaryu

I know exactly how you feel, I loved using Model X in ZX, and I wish you could use more of just ‘X’, but sadly, it gets taken away from you. But you know, the Zero series is totally worth playing through, especially if you like the X series. You can go all buster if you want and it’s still amazing.

  • EdgeKun

    Oh my god, yes!

This is something I’ve been waiting for and wanting for the longest time. While I would still love to see a way to play these on a TV (without having to use emulation of some sort) this is definitely a day one purchase for me (assuming it comes stateside), and helps reaffirm that 2010 is going to be a great year for gaming!

  • Kris

    Bring this over, Capcom!!!
Actually, this is so cool, I might just import it!

  • Kuza21

Hell Yeah! I never got to play the rest of them from the first game so I’ll be getting this…

  • cepp

Sounds like a cracking deal, I’m definitely grabbing this.

  • Saturnus

    oh hell yes

  • OH SHATTERED DAMN, That’s quite awesome.I hope i can get my hands on this, if it ever comes out in Europe or America.I hope they included some nice extras like CG-Mode/BGM-Mode/Overall Minigame-Mode and something like that. Oh, why not make voiceacting?Sorry for spamming ridiculous stuff, i am just excited, that’s all^^

    • pressstart

As long as the VAing doesn’t get cut like ZX >:0

I’ll definitely get this someday. Only have Zero 3 and 4 for the linkup to ZX. Would be cool if they included the arrange soundtracks as a selectable option.

  • I’ll buy this if it gonna get realese outside japan.

  • thebanditking

Capcom USA get on this, now. That is all.

  • maxchain

If I had my say, they’d lasso up the cast from the radio dramas (probably the same VAs who had two words apiece in the games?) to get these bad boys fully-voiced like the ZX games.

And, y’know, bring the thing here at some point.

  • how much you wanna bet they’ll remake it, and then release it on the psp, i’m not saying this as some fanboy, its just capcom has this huge tendency to re-release everything they make on other consoles.

    • Advent_Andaryu

Hmmm… I don’t think so. If you’re thinking of how they took the original MMX and made Mega Man X Maverick Hunter PSP, this game series was made by an entirely different team. They like the DS / GBA hardware. Not a chance this will be for PSP, and I’m glad, the DS NEEDS hardcore Mega Man action.
