image Speculation over! A port of After Burner Climax is in this week’s issue of Famitsu officially announcing the game for consoles.

After Burner Climax will be available on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade as a digital download this spring. Climax Mode, EX Options to tweak settings, and selectable After Burner II music are in the game. The only thing you don’t get is the awesome cabinet.

The game will cost 800 Microsoft Points or 900 yen ($10). Now to wait for the North American announcement…

Woohoo! Thank goodness for the 800 mspoint ($10) price point!

I can’t wait! I love this in the arcades, and I fully expect most of the fun to carry over to the port!

There’s no doubt that this will be available for North America as well, since all Xbox Live Arcade games are released globally on the same day.

That’s not true. XBLA has some Japan Exclusive games.

hopefully for everyones sake this wont be some exclusive in NA BS like OutRun was.

Hopefully yes, you PS3 only people can enjoy the fun. I personally always buy multiplatform games on the Xbox 360 anyways, so this has never been a problem for me.

I have a 360 as well, but I still buy most of my games for PS3. Unless of course the game runs so much better or is better suited for 360 (like FPS’s) otherwise I prefer my DualShock.

I think this game will force me to scrounge together enough loose change between now and then to pickup one of those ace combat sticks. ><

And a certain Bayonetta sequence had absolutely *nothing* to do with their decision to bring this out… :P

I’m guessing Sumo Digital is doing the honors again?
