Beta Trials For “Many Exciting PS3 Games” Lined Up For 2010

By Spencer . January 24, 2010 . 1:15pm

imageUncharted 2: Among Thieves, MAG, and most recently for Europe ModNation Racers had public beta trials. Apparently, Sony has a lot more of those planned for this year.

The UK PlayStation portal says, “Don’t worry if you missed out [on the ModNation Racers beta] – there will be other beta trials for many exciting PlayStation 3 titles within 2010, so keep checking eu.playstation.com for information as it comes to make sure you’re up to date on the latest opportunities.”

We’re mostly curious about the “many exciting PlayStation 3 titles” bit. Only games where online play is a core component require a public beta. White Knight Chronicles: International Edition would be a candidate, but since that is so close to launching it’s probably too late for a beta trial. So,what other Sony Computer Entertainment developed games emphasize online play. Perhaps, Sony has a couple of online games or new “play, create, share” titles up their sleeves.

Cant wait for Heavy Rain, this game is soooo intense.

I tried to avoid watching too many videos out there as to not spoil myself (like I did FFXIII..), other than the initial trailer where you fight the bulldozer guy as the FBI agent. I absolutely cannot wait for Heavy Rain either, though I never did finish Indigo Prophecy. So I’m not so sure if I want to try the demo even if it’s available, because I plan on playing the game on day 1 anyway.

Well, I hope they will be a bit more exciting than the Modnation beta. It was more like a pre-alpha.
