Gundam Assault Survive Is Loaded With Mobile Suits

By Spencer . January 27, 2010 . 11:03pm

Namco Bandai’s first (and probably not the last) Gundam game for 2010 crams 300+ mobile suits and 100+ characters on a UMD. Players can even make a custom pilot by selecting a portrait and voice.

The volume boost in Gundam Assault Survive extends to the amount of missions too. This game has over one hundred situations with maps set on land, sea, sky, and outer space. Look for it on March 18.

It wonder if Bandai looked at Gundam Musou and thought they could do it in-house. The VS series are too difficult for me and I really enjoyed Gundam Musou so I’m excited about this one.

You do know that this is nothing like Gundam Musou(thankfully– I hate Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Gundam Musou.)

This game is the next in line of the Gundam Battle series. Sure it’s got a different name, but it’s the sequel. Just like every other game in the series it’s going to have every mission that was in every prior game as well as new missions. They stopped at F91 and V Gundam. If they follow their normal structure, this game is going to have missions that follow how the storyline plays out through F91 and V Gundam. Gundam Seed and 00 will be on there, but you’ll only be allowed to acquire suits once the game is completed(this is what happened on all the previous games for a any series that wasn’t on there(except for 0083 which was just added on there on Chronicles.)

Anyways. I just hope that the mission menu is like it was Chronicles and Universe.

I’ve never watched Gundam 00 and only watched some of Seed also because I thought it was crap. Maybe I might watch them solely to know what’s going on in the new missions.

Well. Graphics are crap compared to VS series, probably for extra space for all those suits. Their legs don’t even move, lol. Looks like that Gundam 00 game for DS.Though it seems more realistic because it seems gundams actually blow up when they get shot a few times.

The legs don’t move? You’re kidding right? Even if all you could do was base it from the video you see they’re “using their thrusters.” Also, you’re not going to see their legs moving back and forth like an older RPG, you see their joints bending when dashing or landing hard on a surface(even on this video I’ve seen both of those multiple times.) While it didn’t show it on this video. You can move without dashing. Walking. Also just like on this video, some suits actually do kicks for melee attacks(like the Hyaku Shiki for example.) So yeah. Their legs do move.

Well yeah, that’s obviously what I meant unless you can’t comprehend that. What I’m saying is that their legs sway around like there’s no energy in them when they’re flying around. At least in GVG they’d have a leg up or something.
