After Burner Climax Locks On To North America

The console version of After Burner Climax isn’t only for Japan. While still unannounced, Sega has plans to release it worldwide.

How do we know? The ESRB just rated it for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. After Burner Climax, according to the ESRB is “an arcade-style action game in which players pilot a fighter jet through bright photo-realistic environments. Players dodge planes, rockets, and bullets while targeting enemy aircraft. Most of the jets—even the missiles/gunfire—appear somewhat fantastical.”

After Burner Climax is scheduled for a spring release in Japan. The downloadable game will cost 800 Microsoft Points ($10) or 900 yen ($10) on the PlayStation Store.

Oh, I love “Shoot down the missile” missions as in the screenshot!

    …wait, THREE missiles!?

  • If you ever see a real machine, play it at any cost, especially if it’s a deluxe model with the rotating chair. There’s nothing else like it.

Also if there is a Chuck-E-Cheese anywhere near you check it out, they may very well have one and it only costs 1 token to play it. Just go during the day if you can when the snot nosed brats are not there stealing tokens out of your pockets while you play.

(This is no joke, happened to me, trashy @$$ ghetto mom just sat there while her precious little bastard tried to rob me.)

The fact that we’re getting a game I was fully prepared to pay full retail price for for a measly $10 makes me very happy.
