Flip Your DSi To Play Tecmo’s Reverse Shooting

Tired of saving the world from alien invaders? In Reverse Shooting the tables and your Nintendo DSi are turned.

You play Reverse Shooting with the touch screen on top. The bottom screen has a standard looking spaceship, which is the target in this game. Shoot it down by sliding enemies and tapping ships on the top screen.

Reverse Shooting has a neat versus mode too where one player controls the spaceship with the buttons and the other manages the enemies on the same DSi.

Tecmo will release Reverse Shooting and Upside Down Drops, an upside down DSi puzzle game, for DSiWare on February 3. Each game costs 200 DSiWare Points ($2). Right now these games are just for Japan, but neither looks like it would cost a load to localize.

Haha that’s pretty creative, I like it! Mann I’m noticing this burst of DSi shmup’s and it’s making me want one.

    Looks Star Forcey.

What a great idea! I hope it’s a good game in the end, but even if not, they deserve credit for doing something so obvious that it remained unnoticed all these years.

I can picture the guys behind this: “Dude, this Space Invaders game is seriously sweet!” “Yeah… hey, what if there was a game where you were the invaders and not the hero?” “What? That’s straight up whack, yo! That ain’t ever gonna work.” Taadaa, Reverse Shooting! But… I can’t help thinking that 2-player might get a bit chaotic, with one players hands on each side of the screen which the other has to touch. Some arms might accidentically shove each other and so on.

We won’t get that here and I just wish they were solid games not Dsiware:'(

Actually, I think we’ll get it here mainly because it’s DSiWare. Tecmo wouldn’t publish a retail 2D shooter, but they bring over about anything that’s digital.
