Audio on the other hand is really uncompressed, if your receiver supports it, while it will be limited to DD5.1 on the 360. Though this was necessary anyway, regardless of the DVD size limit, because the 360 can't process anything more than DD5.1 for videogames, so yeah.

Of course, these are all technicalities: for all intent and purposes, the PS3 version's videos are “uncompressed”. On par with a BR movie, I guess. I wouldn't mind knowing the bitrate for those cutscenes.

It's actually been used on many PS3 games too. It doesn't seem to have a fixed video quality: for example, Darksiders' cutscenes look better on PS3 than on 360, despite both being Bink.

Wow, the package is big and awesome, really good value, I'm glad I kept it. The artbook is great, w/ liner notes, CG arts, and Amano illustration. They even have a script for the Episode Zero drama CD, now I can listen to it and read along, would be nice if they did all 3 chapters instead of 1 (the other two on the Jpn FF XIII website. Even though I'm not crazy about the chars, I like the seiyuu cast, hopefully I would at least get to like the game more by the end after soaking in the soundtrack and finishing the game.
