So Ra No Wo To Trumpeting To PSPOctomania and Record of Agarest War developer Compile Heart is keeping busy with a PSP game based on So Ra No Wo To.

 

So Ra No Wo To: Maiden’s Quintet puts Kanata and the musicians from the 1121st Platoon into a PSP visual novel. Compile Heart says Maiden’s Quintet will have original characters which will be revealed at a later date.

 

The game is slated for spring in regular and limited edition releases.

    I’m going to go out on a limb and say we probably won’t see this outside of Japan…

      That’s because of licensing issue. Unless the game is proven fun and worthy, then Aksys?

      Well, the series just started this year in Japan. It’s unlikely that the game will get a release in NA before the series. However, if the series does get picked up in NA, there’s a chance that we’ll see the PSP game. =3

        Well, there was Sky Crawlers. Although the game is seen sort of as a prequel to the film, I think it’s noteworthy that it was able to be released as the film has only been shown in film festivals (and if anything more, select theaters) in N.A., so I’m assuming that quite a few people haven’t seen the film even if they know of the game.

          I know the game got its NA release last month, but didn’t the film get a NA release on DVD and Blu-Ray back in May 2009? I remember seeing advertising for it everywhere.

            Oh, you’re right! I stand corrected, then, I didn’t think it was produced for DVD, yet, but it seems Sony took it in it’s own hands.
            All I ever heard and read about this film was when it was promoted at film festivals and entered for awards. I looked for any other releases, but it must have completely slipped under my nose, so thanks for the reminder.

    I just need to say how much I loathe this anime. Worst show I’ve seen in years. Makes Quuens Blade and Seikon no Qwaser look like Citizen Kane and The Godfather II.
