Tetris Party Live Dropping On DSiWare

imageWith “Live” at the end, you’d expect Tetris Party Live to be an Xbox Live Arcade version of Tetris Party. But, no it’s an upcoming DSiWare game.

Tetris Party was originally a WiiWare game with new modes such as “shadow” where you fill in holes and “field climber” where a little man hikes up your stack of blocks. Hudson is adapting Tetris Party for the Nintendo DSi, according to the OFLC since it rated Tetris Party Live. Some features like balance board control won’t transfer over. Wonder what Hudson has up their sleeves to fill the void.

Better than the opposite. The PSP version of Tetris has games done by people who are really good at it. It’s pretty humbling

It has online multiplayer right? That’s what Live stands for to me!

“Some features like balance board control won’t transfer over.”

Oh, really? I was hoping to connect my balance board to my DS during my morning commutes.

I like Tetris Party, but it ticks me off that they are still selling it and yet are no longer having tournaments. I bought it after tournaments were over – I didn’t realize it at the time. Still a good game, but at the very least there should have been a price drop. Anyway, I have Tetris DS so I’m not sure I’ll fork any points over for a Tetris Party port, especially if they gimp it, like has been the case with DSiWare titles generally.
