Black/Matrix 00 Digitized On PlayStation Archives

By Spencer . February 10, 2010 . 11:17pm

imageBefore Summon Night Flight Plan was busy with another strategy RPG series called Black/Matrix. In this world demons, angels, and humans are caught up in a three way war.

Black/Matrix 00 is the last and chronologically the first game in the series so you’re not missing out on much if you start here. The game was originally called Black/Matrix 0 on the Game Boy Advance, which was ported to the PS1 with added voice acting. That’s the version on Japan’s PlayStation Store now.

Black/Matrix 00 costs 600 yen ($7) just like this week’s other new downloadable games, Family Chess and Sentimental Graffiti. All three games are PlayStation 3 and PSP compatible.

Ah cool…I remember having played the first Black Matrix on the Dreamcast a long time ago…without understanding a word back then :D Interesting dark setting, it was. This one looks a lot less dark though. I wonder how far the biblical references go in this, the other games use them rather freely.

    A DS-to-PS1 port? Word.

    “Sentimental Graffiti”? Word again.

I’ve been eyeing this game up for about 5 years. I even saw it in a second hand store when I was in Japan for about £6………..but no matter how hard I try, Stafi is the only japanese game I’ve been able to play. PLEASE bring this out in english!!

      – “PLEASE bring this out in english!!”

      – Please learn Japanese, b/c that’s a more realistic scenario…
