PM Studios Updates Us On Their RPG (It’s Based On A Book)Last year, DJ Max publisher PM Studios mentioned they were making an RPG. The game is still in development and we have an update on how it’s doing.

“The game is still in development but we are having some issues. The platform we chose is kind of doing bad and we don’t think there is a chance of success on it, so we are in middle of converting it over for another platform,” Michael Yum, Executive Producer, said to Siliconera.

This RPG will be PM Studios first take on the genre. Their other games include shooters like Gunbird 2 Remix and Strikers 1945 Plus. Yum couldn’t reveal the game, but he gave us another clue. “Other than that, all I can say is, it is based on a book.”

PS2? GameCube?? Seriously, most platforms are doing OK.

Maybe PSP? It's probably the least successful of the five available game systems out there. Right?

PSP, I would guess, which is doing bad pretty much everywhere but Japan.

If it is PSP, wonder if they could just take what they have and convert it to a PSN title.

Wii? Oh wait, the Wii sells, it's just most third party titles that don't sell.

Wait, wasnt the psp doing great once the 2010 started? ive seen it was like the 3rd best sold

When you put it like that, you have to wonder what they mean by 'bad'. Everything is selling well enough (depending on which region they're targeting) but the Wii has trouble when it comes to 3rd party software.

But this is where we run into problems. What platform that is having problems can they actually convert to one that isn't? I guess you could move assets from the Wii to the PSP or DS but what else? PSP to DS maybe?

Nintendo 64, definately. Or perhaps Turbo Grafx.

Well, this is a Korean company, and the Wii is fairly new there (wasn't launched until I think last year, or 2008, rather) and I could have sworn I read a story someplace saying it was doing quite well for a console.

So that would be my guess, originally on PSP (since all their other projects seem to have been on it), but now Wii

Well, considering their history with making games on PSP, I wouldn't be surprised if it was on the PSP.
