Cyberfront’s Naughty Xbox 360 Faceplate

By Spencer . February 15, 2010 . 11:25pm

imageCyberfront is porting Akatsuki no Amaneka to Aoi Kyojin (Dawn of Amaneka and The Gigantic Azure Deity) from PCs to PSP and Xbox 360. Pre-order it and you get an ecchi gift.

Xbox 360 owners get a naughty faceplate sticker of Amaneka Machbuster, the game’s protagonist. PSP owners get a less scandalous sticker sheet with Amaneka Machbuster fully dressed. Interesting to see Cyberfront make a salacious pre-order bonus for Xbox 360 owners while the PSP item is tame. Are they saying something about the Xbox 360 audience in Japan or is it embarrassing to have a picture of Amaneka covering herself up on the back of your PSP while you’re playing it on the subway?

Oh, if you haven’t heard of Akatsuki no Amaneka to Aoi Kyojin before it’s a dungeon style RPG set in a school where students go on archeological digs. The console version published by Cyberfront comes out in Japan on March 11.

    Thank…you…Mr. Smithers…for…turning me…on.

That’s more creepy than anything else (and I say that as someone whose most anticipated upcoming game is the DOAX port on the PSP)

I love it when they strategically place the pictures around the power btn, & the USB slots in this case (like Zephie’s chest or Lightning’s crotch, so Basic Instinct, lol), very creative too. I actually wanted the Kasumi faceplate, but it was on ebay for well over $100.. This design is cute (maybe embarrassing like the booby mousepad), too bad the upper part is just white and feels empty.. I’m interested but not sure if the game is fun…

It reminds me of those boxers of console logos that they sell at Target.
As for stuff like this, I love it. Showing them to your friends and watching their reactions to this type of stuff – priceless. My parents still need to check out my Kirari bodypillow.

That does actually sound somewhat interesting. Any more info on the game?
