By Spencer . February 16, 2010 . 12:39pm

Sting touted an animated opening movie as one of the key features for their PSP port of Knights in the Nightmare, but you don’t need to wait until April to see it. It’s online right now.

The PSP version of Knights in the Nightmare wisps into stores on April 22. Other new features include a talk collection, new tutorial missions, and button controls.

Awesome and want. I expected a more actually animated opening, but this kind of pastel-like style looks pretty good.

I wonder if this will be picked up by Atlus USA… did the DS version fare well? What about Yggdra Union on PSP? I don’t really want to get this in japanese, but if the chances of this coming are low… it already looks like I might eventually have to import Yggdra Unison.

I think chances are high. The DS version was localized, and I think basically anything Sting does at this point is going to be localized by Atlus.

Effing Atlus! Could you please reprint the Nintendo DS version of this game?! I want to play the game the way it was designed to be played in the beginning, and that’s with a effing stylus.

I’m seeing it available new and used on Amazon, among other places… seems like it’s still possible to pick it up if you want it.

The Ygddra Union OP was fantastic, so I had high hopes for this one. I’m a bit disappointed, but there are still some details in the video that make it pretty cool.

What I would do far a KitN anime……

    • malek86

All the Dept. Heaven series games could make for some good anime. But, Riviera and YU are probably more suited since they are more character-centric.

I mean, in Riviera you could have the standard beach episode, while that would be a bit hard to do in KitN… unless you want to see Zolgonark and Capehorn in a bathing suit.

You know not all anime have fan service episodes. I think KitN anime would be perfect.

        • malek86

Looking at the list of anime running this season, it appears that in the last few years, fanservice has become an actual requirement.

Ugh why does very japanese game HAVE TO HAVE an anime opening -_-?

    • lcgreen

anime is basically cartoon. If a game doesn’t have cartoon openings, do you want actors dressing up? Now thats bad.

Or what, half-arsed visualisation openings like they recorded from Windows Media Player?
