When Namco Bandai announced Fullmetal Alchemist: To the Promised Day for PSP they didn’t say if it was going to be 2D, 3D, or 2.5D. No screens came with the news. Now we know the game uses 3D models.

Two screenshots and models for Edward Elric trickled on the official site. No, this isn’t another Fullmetal Alchemist fighting game. Fullmetal Alchemist To the Promised Day is a RPG and it sticks to the original storyline. Now to wait for other key details such as battle system information and a release window.

  • looking good for now lol

    Looks good but looks are not everything. Still the chances of us getting this are slim to none, Bleach is huge over here and we have not gotten any of the soul carnival games ;_;

  • cool! I’d love to play an FMA RPG. Although I wonder if it would ever come stateside… likely not

  • When you say it follows the original storyline, though, do you mean the first anime storyline or the manga/2nd anime storyline?

    Not that it makes too much of a difference overall unless you’re going to play the game, though… and since this is an RPG and not a fighting game, I might actually look into it a bit =3

      Manga is the original.

      • In terms of the series, yes, but when people say “original” for FMA, they could mean either. Just wanted to make sure this was what the article was referring to.

        • It follows Brotherhood/manga storyline.
