imageThanks to Enterbrain, Japan is getting a sort-of-limited edition of Etrian Odyssey III.

The package sold exclusively on Famitsu’s online store contains an illustrated telephone card, a set of ten clear folders, clear poster calendar, and Etrian Odyssey III all for 8,975 yen ($98). A copy of the game, minus the plunder costs 6,279 yen ($68). Pre-order either version to also receive a soundtrack sampler as a gift.

Etrtain Odyssey III is slated for April 1 in Japan. So far, Atlus has not announced it for North America, but if they do they have a lot of choices for Atlus Spoils.

    $68? Whahuh?

Games are expensive in Japan. They also lack any kind of MSRP system to dictate a common sale price as stores dictate their own prices. Everything in Japan is expensive.

  • *Prays the goodies are a bonus here WHEN it comes out lol.

I’m thinking art book. And a little EO3 figure or plush. That probably won’t happen…well maybe the art book + a soundtrack cd.

    • There is one official artbook available, and quite a few figures have been made (no plush, but would love one). Atlus USA did a couple contests that gave away a few stuff including one of the promotional CDs and I think a figure.

As much as I love the series, I don’t know about dipping that deep here! Although, I’ll definitely be getting that soundtrack (both the promo and the OST releasing a week later after the game). The site just updated with three new tracks
Kids, …this is magic they’re making.

Oh, breaking news! You guys might have seen the new trailer (still not sure what the Friend Cards are), but check this out, on the character page of the Prince/Princess you can change their appearance (color-wise) by pressing the Y-button
I have no idea what the heck is going on in this game anymore, but I love it!

At least they’re luckier than unannounced games these days, which Famitsu showers with spoilers!
