It wasn’t announced at Nintendo’s Media Summit, but it appears Nintendo has plans to release Last Window, a direct sequel to Hotel Dusk, overseas.
Nintendo just filed a trademark for Last Window in Europe and we don’t have to guess what game it’s going to be used for. I checked for a similar trademark in the US database and couldn’t find one at this time. Hopefully, Last Window: Midnight Promise will get a worldwide release. Even if it doesn’t you can always import from Europe, which is better than no English version.
Not sure what Last Window is? Laura’s playtest has tons of details about Kyle’s latest case.
Y~e~s!
Oh, that's very out of character for me, but I just couldn't contain my excitement.
Thank. You. God! Probably, the best news I've heard all month
. After watching that English trailer that was going around and then finding out it was faked… I was really disappointed…

Very good news! Let's hope it doesn't end up like that awesome Tingle RPG that was only released in Europe!
Maybe Fall? Seems like Fall'd be a good time to curl up with a mystery visual novel/adventure game. It'd seem crazy for Nintendo not to release it outside of Japan – Hotel Dusk was pretty well received.
Silly me, I expected to see this, A.S.H. and Golden Sun DS at the media summit.
Well, a PAL-only release is better than no english release at all. And at least DS games are region free.
For the momento this is a really good news. I hope that NOA decides to do the same.
Very true. Same can be said for PSP releases like that Tales of Eternia port. Wasn't there a European only Breath of Fire port too?
There is a BOF3 port. Is the game any good?
On a side note, importers should be wary that some copies of Eternia are bugged and can't be completed at all.
I believe the first thing they did at the summit was to reign in the expectations by announcing that this show was meant ONLY for H1 games, and that anything after that time period would be shown at E3. Amused me to no end. ![]()
I've only played the PS1 version, but I thought it was pretty good. I really enjoyed it. (I liked the first two BoF games though too.)
That's a shame about Eternia! I missed out on the PS1 release and have always thought about importing the PSP port.
You can still import it, just be careful on which version you get. It has to be higher than 2.50.
Uh, I meant 2.50 OR higher. As long as it's at least 2.50, it's fine.
YESSS. Even if the US doesn't license it, i'm willing to buy the European version.
Fall does sound good. I'm not surprised though, Q1 is really busy. Especially March, there are about 5 games releasing that I want to pick up, but I just don't have the funds for each of them ![]()
Or Another Code R. Please don't do that again Nintendo. T^T
Granted, the DS is region free so it's easier to import, but importing from Europe is expensive so I would much rather have it available here as well.
Another Code R is in Europe, are Wii games region blocked? I'm really considering importing it to play. Loved the first DS game.
Region-locked, but nothing owning an SD card and PC won't fix. ![]()
Hmm… I can't find a trademark for Hotel Dusk either. Maybe that's a good sign. ![]()
Is this the fake English trailer everyone is talking about?

Yeah, that the trailer that had me fooled…>_<…

those just weren't released in US because of Sony's policy of “no ports without extras allowed”

Thank God. I was getting kind of worried that it wasn't at their media summit. I guess it'll be at E3 and is being saved for the second half of the year. They've already got WarioWare: DIY and Pokémon for H1, so I'm all for giving this an emptier release window.
