image Way of the Samurai 4 hasn’t been properly unveiled in Japan. We’re not even sure what console it’s going to be on, but it is in development and Acquire is searching for a Western publisher.

Capcom originally handled the Way of the Samurai games. Atlus picked up the one shot spin-off, Samurai Western. Way of the Samurai 3 (pictured) distributed in a unique way with two publishers, UFO Interactive and Agetec, handling the title in North America.

  • Samurai Western ruled, but BLOOD WILL TELL was insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    How was #3 received, overall?

haha I remember Samurai Western it was the first game Atlus sent me way back when I did reviews >w<'' I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed that game, even with all it's faults. I didn't look into Way of the Samurai 3 on PS3 much either, figured I'd hunt it down after hearing how it was, and maybe at a lower price, but seems like it fell off my radar with this flood of releases since new years x_x'

I’m a fan of the series, so this is good news. In all honesty though, 3 was kind of lacklustre. All of the characters and factions were pretty lame. The plot seemed to be lacking too, and that’s saying a lot considering Way of the Samurai isn’t a plot oriented series to begin with.
