What Video Game Is This Viral Video Promoting?

An avant-garde vignette or twisted joke? Either way, this video is Tecmo USA’s way of promoting Dead or Alive: Paradise in North America. The game comes out on March 30, the same day as Samurai Shodown: Sen and has plenty of this. No, not meat and hammers, digital pinup models.

    Not very subtle, is it?

So I hear they removed the volleyball minigame. Is that true? If so, that’s one less sale for them.

No it isn’t. It looks to be a port of the first game with the two additional girls plus maybe a better casino interface. The manual is online at the games’ site:

Oh, cool. In that case, I’ll probably dip.

Yeah, I really don’t get the advertising of this. They are playing up the sleazy part but omitting the part of the game that is actually, well, a game, as well as fun. Volleyball.

Actually, I’m curious. For someone who isn’t interested in the “sexual” part (I actually find the breast physics extremely amusing), how would you rate this on a “fun” scale?

  • Partial, indeed.
The stuffed monkey commercial they came out with a week back was pretty cute, although I was giving them the benefit of a doubt that it wasn’t making any innuendos. Oops!
I have to wonder what these actors are thinking when they do these commercials, heh.

    he’s beating……….. his meat?

  • Should I expect this to be 34x the priority over the potential North American release of Fist of the North Star (DW)?
