Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love Trailer Is Almost All Animation

By Spencer . March 24, 2010 . 11:55pm

With less than a week until Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love launches, NIS America sent out a new trailer highlighting the game’s cast and steampunk setting.

You might not know this from the video only, but there is a strategy RPG core to Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love. Red Entertainment also added a element reminiscent of Pokemon Snap. Players can take pictures of 1920s steampunk New York with the Camratron. Take good photos and you might earn a bromide or two. Collecting these 60 pictures is one the side quests in Sakura Wars.

Sure I am getting this game but Gemini’s supposedly arch-american, “I’m-a-cowboy” accent really ticks me off. I might have to switch her voice off when I start playing, though that probably sadly also means cutting the rest.

    • I dunno. Her voice doesn’t bother me.

    • Yea, I kind of wish Laura Bailey had stuck to her Ulrika voice for Gemini. The wild-west thing comes on a bit too thick.

Hopefully when she doesn’t have to be constantly up its better.

  • Hehe i always liked raspberyl’s voice, and Flonne’s, and Etna, and rozalind’s and laharl’s… Darn NISA have some good voices in english

I know Chaos Wars isn’t NIS, but man, remember the voice acting in that?

I don’t know about you guys but I’m looking forward to Soccer Wars 5.

I haven’t been keeping up, so can somebody confirm for me whether or not there is a Japanese language option? After that trailer, I think the ability to switch to Japanese may make or break my decision to buy this game.

If you get a copy of the first print for ps2 you have dual audio. Otherwise, you’re out of luck.

. . .Or if you buy the special edition off of Rosenqueen.

Oh god, someone please post a japanese voice of this one. If this is how it’s going to sound in English, I’m microwaving my english version of the PS2 game and only playing the Japanese one.
