Ivy the Kiwi? Power Play Video?

By Spencer . April 2, 2010 . 10:39am

I thought Ivy the Kiwi? would be like Kirby’s Canvas Curse, but Prope’s game, when skillfully played, is lightning fast.

It’s possible to twirl the Kiwi around levels with stylus/remote drawn vines. Watch this super play demonstration of level 3-5 to see how it’s done.

Prope’s Ivy the Kiwi? port is due on the Nintendo DS and Wii on April 22. Namco Bandai, so far, has not announced plans to publish this game out of Japan.

That…was surprisingly awesome. I’m seriously considering getting this now.

Ditto, this looks a lot better than it did, well, before I viewed this vid.

Wow this is a real ossim game. :O

  • Play-Asia had this in this week’s newsletter. It looks very nice, but I had no idea how it played. Throwing a bird around, hey, sign me up ;)
It looks like a solid game that could be published here, but probably won’t.

    • The game looks like it’s 99% English already, so that puts it in a much better position.

    This game looks awesome.
However, that video was obviously demo’ed by someone who knew what they were doing. I can picture myself playing that same level at about an eighth that speed.

  • Damn, I wanna play.

  • Chow

This looks more like a speed run than anything, and this is for a game that isn’t even out yet. o.o
I don’t think the average gamer has enough mental cohesion to even think about where to put those anchor points at such speeds while rotating that quickly. Though I guess with practice, it would be possible.

Story of their entire business this generation, LOL
