Peace Walker PSP Isn’t Just For Mexico, Confirmed For U.S. And Canada Too [Update]

By Spencer . April 8, 2010 . 12:56pm

imageSony has two Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker bundles planned for the U.S. and Canada. There’s the now boring Spirited Green PSP set and a limited edition Big Boss PSP package. Previously, the latter bundle was only announced for Mexico.

Items in the Big Boss pack include: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, an unnamed movie voucher (Canada gets it on UMD), 4GB memory stick, a camouflage PSP-3000, and a matching carrying case. This package also unlocks a camouflage uniform with FOX logos and a stealth gun weapon for Snake to use early in the game.

The Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Big Boss pack will only be available at Gamestop and it costs $199.99. Look for it on June 8.

Update: Sorry Canadians, the Big Boss PSP bundle won’t be available in Canada. An SCEA representative contacted us and said, “To clarify, the Metal Gear Solid “Big Boss” Pack for PSP will be available in the U.S. only — Canadian residents will only receive the previously announced Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP Entertainment Pack. Both the Big Boss Pack and the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP Entertainment Pack will feature a movie. Canadian residents will get a UMD version while U.S. residents will receive a PlayStation Network movie voucher.”

My L trigger on the PSP is a little bit smudged. Does that warrant me getting a new one? X3

      ….probably not.

  • Pinche Konami, you got us by the huevos.

  • Ha, I’ve got no interest in Peace Walker but that camo PSP is SLICK.
And it would be nice to have an extra system so I could hack my 2000 without any headaches…

    That’s good to see.

Finally the US getting some love on a LE bundle. Camo case is too distracting for other games I think, I just want the pouch.

Still thinking hard if I should import this at all, first I don’t like Mizuki Nana as Paz, second most old seiyuu from previous installments are back to play different characters, they did that for MGS 2 & 3 too, feels like Deja vu.. What’s the deal w/ them using the same voices over and over.. like this Otacon look-alike Huey being voiced by Tanaka Hideyuki (Otacon), and Inoue Kikuko was Rosemary/The Boss/Sunny, and now Chico? I know director likes to work w/ certain actors but still.. I guess Paku Romi as Amanda and Sugita Tomokazu as Miller are kind of cool. As long as we have Hayter here it’s all good.

Wait, so we’re not getting that oogly PSP that was shown a while ago? Nice!

My PSP’s disc drive just died, so I just might be in the market for one. Though I have been enjoying some PSN titles.
