Telenet Game For Virtual Console In The Pipeline, Possible Valis Remake?

By Spencer . April 9, 2010 . 5:24pm

image Aside from tricking us with a fake Blaster Master game, Sunsoft is working on more Virtual Console releases.

“Game release? Well, there are three VC releases in the pipeline of approvals, etc. Two Sunsoft, plus the first Telenet, with more just behind those,” said Vic Ireland, April Fool’s trickster and Gaijinworks President, on the Sunsoft forums.

Telenet Japan is the publisher behind many 16-bit RPG series such as Cosmic Fantasy, Arcus Odyssey, and Valis.

Speaking of Valis, Ireland says, “all of the Valis are top of my list,” and later in the same thread, commenting on a Valis compilation, “A collection of all of them in one package? Zero chance. After the VC stuff, individual remakes as downloads or retail packages are a no-brainer, but the devil is in the details and that’s where we’re at now.”

man I freaking love Valis games.

Damn, a Valis pack for DS would kick ass. Still, I could dig a remake.

  • Mazen

I will buy any RPG they release immediately.

The Valis series are not RPGs duder.

Everything is a RPG! Because in every Game you play a role!

It would be fantastic if they went ahead with a Valis remake (that isn’t anything like the Valis X game).
It sounds like Vic can hardly contain himself, too!

Maybe now I’ll actually get to play the Valis games. Emulation has failed me thus far.
