Tecmo Koei Sends Best Wishes To Valhalla Game Studios

image When Tomonobu Itagaki split from Tecmo he brought a number of ex-Team Ninja staff from his former company with him. The parties split on sour terms, but Tecmo Koei extended an olive branch and Valhalla Game Studios posted it.

Buried in a list of congratulatory messages to Valhalla Game Studios is a note from Kakihara Yasuharu, the new chairman of Koei Tecmo holdings. “Congratulations on establishing a new company,” Yasuharu wrote. “I wish your company’s future prospects will be prosperous.”

Before leaving Tecmo, Itagaki directed the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden games. Then he sued the company and previous president Yoshimi Yasuda for unpaid bonus wages.

Well that was nice. There’s no point in being angry forever.

  • Or it was a big show to hype both companies and create a stir in the news. Or not.

  • I kind of want to know how Itagaki and Yosuke Hayashi feel about each other. Hayashi may not be as outspoken and confident (to put it mildly…), but he’s no slouch.

tbh, I was getting tired of Itagaki’s baseless arrogance so I was kinda glad his out of the spot light for a while. (now if it could have stayed that way I would have been happy).

  • I wish them good wishes too! :)

Maybe one day Tecmo Koei will get an opportunity to publish a Valhalla Game Studio developed game.

I wish boths parties the best of luck
