imageSNK also has The King of Fighter 2002: Unlimited Match on deck for a spring release on Xbox Live Arcade and it has a little more than a straight arcade port.

Game balance is based on the arcade build, but SNK says features and modes are comparable to the PlayStation 2 version. SNK added practice, challenge, and endless modes which are confirmed to be in the Xbox Live release.

Here’s a look at the Xbox 360 version of The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match.

Well, crap. I was hoping for the PS2 version.

  • Ugh. I still can’t believe we were robbed of all of the great Japanese compilations this/last generation (SNK’s among them). “No thanks,” on the downloadable front.

  • CrimsonFlamesX

I’m sure the netcode is the same, but whatever. The music is wonderful. And I had a blast playing it on PS2. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Why do they insist on NOT releasing these titles to PSN??

  • ChaoofNee

    Netcode will suck.
    Game will be untranslated again.
    Another quality SNK release!

  • Hours

I hope they release it on PSN eventually too, or release the Tougeki version for PS2 in the US.

  • Will say the person that used Kyo was a bit non-suck.

Most of the times I’ll see these previews and a skill doesn’t come with it.

  • Brojasu

    Where’s my PS2 version SNK?!?
    I can’t have 98UM on PS2 without 2k2UM on PS2 as well.
Looks like I’ll have to import, because there is no way I’m using that 360 pad on a fighting game again. :(
