Namco Bandai digitally recreated London, Tokyo, and modern day San Francisco on the PSP for dogfights in Ace Combat Joint Assault.
The “Joint Assault” part of the title stands for the new multiplayer mode. In this mode players can fly through different maps. Missions branch out depending on each player’s actions in individual maps. Four players can link up for co-op just like Monster Hunter! Connect with nearby friends using ad-hoc connectivity or far away pals with infrastructure mode. Ace Combat Joint Assault supports both wireless modes. Ace Combat Joint Assault also has a versus mode where eight players are locked into one warzone.
Ace Combat Joint Assault is scheduled to come out this summer in North America. Japan gets the game on July 22.
