Trinity Universe Screenshots Learn A Second Language

NickyD, who kindly answered your Trinity Universe questions, has been working like a Prinny slave on Trinity Universe’s localization. That’s part of the reason why the game is coming out so quickly in North America.

Here’s a sample of NIS America’s work. Trinity Universe comes out sometime in June.

  • Neat, I guess. I often find myself thinking – when looking at English shots of most games – that they should probably pick some more choice lines if they want anyone to care other than the momentary “Hey, it’s in English! Swell!” bemusement it inspires. It’s like when you see an ad on TV for a new comedy being released in theaters next week and it could well be a hilarious movie, but the ads sure as hell don’t play it off.

Nippon Ichi does this often, actually. Atlus seems more prone to display shots that are indicative of a character’s personality traits or showcase a reference or joke they’ve put in the game, whereas many of their peers in localization will post shots of some character making a vague, inane statement or saying another character’s name or some bland nonsense we have no context for.

Blah random midnight post from some dude blah blah blah. Anyway, looks like a fun game, but I’m SWAMPED right now and WHERE THE HELL IS ATELIER RORONA

I know this is nitpicky but man I hate that font, I wish they could use the Disgaea font.

  • Gestahl

Thank you, Nick. Already preordered and paid in full.

Man, I need to get a PS3 soon XD. Way too many games I want to play coming out in a short span of time :(

  • cmurph666

    Paid in full.

Now we need Disgaea 4. Any word on that??!

I wasn’t going to order this game. But that second screen shot has Pamela Ibiss. I’ll preorder this tonight.

  • Thanks, all =)

I also wish there were some more representative shots, but I have no control over that, haha.

    Anyway, back to work!

    • Kind of a shame, but keep up the crackerjack work, man! I’ll be buying it pretty soon after it drops in the US. I always know to expect more from Nippon Ichi’s English scripts than is ever evidenced in its respective media, so it doesn’t bother me personally. :P

Seeing that Pamela is in this batch of screenshots, I just have to say that her ending was the best ending for Mana Khemia.
