Microsoft’s “Rare” Xbox 360 Family Friendly Bundle

imageMicrosoft has an answer to Nintendo’s Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort package.

Their Xbox 360 Arcade bundle contains a console, wireless controller, and two Rare developed titles – Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Viva Pinata. You won’t get a hard drive, but cheap USB flash drives can be used for storage now.

Nintendo’s double sports package and Microsoft’s “Rare” bundle are $199.99 each. Which would you choose? Now, which would you buy for your family?

    Neither.

Whoa, this is pathetic compared to the value in the Wii pack.

Aww come on guys don’t bash Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts its actually a good game it just wasn’t what everyone wanted though but I still had fun playing it.

I actually was just about to bash Banjo-Kazooie. It’s not a good game at all. It wasn’t an issue of it not being what I wanted, it was plagued by glitches and physics errors, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in gaming. I’m glad you were able to enjoy it, but I wouldn’t recommend that game to anyone.

I’d go with the Wii pack because it is actually a good deal. Banjo-kazooie and Viva Pinata have a combined value of under 30 bucks. Resort alone is worth twice that.

If I was choosing between the two for my “family”, I’d go with the Wii one just because my mom likes those Wii Sports games. For myself, though? Neither. I already own a 360 and a Wii though, so this is all hypothetical.
