Hudson’s Beyblade Games Spinning Stateside

Beyblade, Japan’s favorite spinning top game, is about to make a come back in North America. Nelvana is preparing a new TV series called Beyblade: Metal Fusion and Hudson has a lineup of Beyblade games.

Actually, Hudson has been quietly making and publishing Beyblade games in Japan for sometime now. One of them even came with a fancy Beypoint reader. This holiday season, Hudson will release Beyblade: Metal Fusion games on the Wii and Nintendo DS.

No details were provided about the titles. It’s a fair bet they’re localized games, but we’re not sure which ones because Hudson has a bunch of Beyblade games. Just to give you an idea of what Hudson’s Beyblade games look like, screenshots from Metal Fight Beyblade Gachinko Stadium, the latest Wii game, are below. Please note, we’re not sure if this Beyblade game is coming here or Hudson is developing a different one for North America.

  • Beyblade’s still alive? Isn’t Bakugan the coolest thing in town now?

    • SladeNoctis

Lol no, most hardcore beyblade fans still play beyblade in tournaments and etc. Heck there still people using gamecubes or wii to play the past beyblade games. Kinda wonder how much bucks nintendo had to psend to make the franchise exclusive to only its systems. I remember when i was middle school i used to play beyblade all the time…good times.

This is neither here nor there, but the Beyblade game on GBA is one of the machines unsung gems–you can thank me later for suggesting it :)

  • I remember this show. I even got a few back in middle school. It was so great using illegal weight discs and launchers to tear other blades asunder.
