Enjoy Some Hatsune Miku In HD

By Spencer . June 4, 2010 . 6:21pm

Have a PSP, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva, PlayStation 3, and a spare 3,000 yen in a PlayStation Network account? Then Sega has a treat for you! Hatsune Miku: Project Diva – Dreamy Theater – streams data from the PSP game to your PlayStation 3 via a USB cable and outputs this.

Since Hatsune Miku: Project Diva – Dreamy Theater – is a fancy upscaler you must have the PSP game to make any use of this. The good news is all of your data (unlocked songs, custom edits, costumes, and DLC packs) from the PSP game carry over.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva – Dreamy Theater – will be available as a PlayStation Network download on June 24.

I got the game, and I got a 3000yen card when I was in Japan. Maybe I’ll get this…haha.
Though I barely play the game. I did see this in action before though.

Too bad the Disappearance of Hatsune Miku and Ura-Omote Lovers don’t have new stages, they’re just new dances on the moon and Far Away stages. I would get this….if I had a PS3 :(. Oh well! I’ll just look forward to Project Diva 2nd…

I’ve never tried a Hatsune Miku game out, but I have a feeling I’m missing out.

3,000 yen is way too much to pay for an addon which doesn’t actually offer any new gameplay or functionality. I understand it would have cost them quite a bit to develop this, considering the need to remodel – and probably re-animate – just about everything in the game, but it just doesn’t add that much value for me. It is nice that it can import edit data and DLC, but that on its own doesn’t really do it for me.
Now, if they included Project Diva 2nd support, or the ability to capture and post video online (see: Just Cause), or both, then it might be worth it.
I suppose there are plenty of people who just want to see Miku dancing in HD though – good for them.

I’d be terrible at this I’d just be watching Miku the whole time haha Anyone else think they are milking this? The amount of PSP accessories is just crazy.
