imageWhile Final Fantasy Versus XIII won’t make a grand re-appearance at E3 (hey, don’t look so shocked), Square Enix plans to show off Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light and Final Fantasy XIV in their booth.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – PC, PS3, Xbox 360 – early 2011

Square Enix says this lineup is the widest variety of games in its history. Can’t argue with that. Last year, Eidos was in a separate space.

  • Eddie

Aw man……. Not even a small trailer….. Am i missing agito?

    • cowcow

      Yes we are missing Agito

I’d like to punch Nomura in the face. Repeatedly.

  • WildArms

i wonder how will the next FF cristal chronciles be

  • Kaoro

At the risk of sounding delusional regarding Versus at E3, these pre-E3 lineup announcements are never complete. If they were, it would nullify any big E3 game reveals SE wants to make during the show. So I would still say there’s a chance Versus could be there.

Just as likely it won’t be there, of course :(.

    • MrRobbyM

I agree. I think they are saving it for a last minute reveal or a surprise.

      • jarrodand

The only way they’re holding it back is if there’s a shoulder tapping 360 betrayalaton planned… otherwise they’d probably just list it along with everything else.

        • Hraesvelgr

I still don’t understand this “betrayal” stuff. As a third-party dev, they have no obligations or “loyalty” to Sony or Sony’s dogs. If they can get more money out of something, they will.

  • jarrodand

    SaGa2?! DQVI?! My heart?! ;_;

    • Hraesvelgr

Perhaps they don’t want to show DQVI along with… actually, I don’t see DQIX on there, either. Huh. Is that a Nintendo thing, then? SaGa 2 would be quite welcome, also.

      • Alexander Le

DQIX is coming out next month so there is no point of mentioning it. Street Date 7/11

        • Hraesvelgr

Those Bearsworth Manor games are listed as June 21st, so I don’t really think that’s an excuse. Not showing off a game just because it comes out soon is silly. In fact, it’s probably better to show a soon to be released game to get more people interested.

      • Ishaan

DQIX will almost certainly be at Nintendo’s conference.

    • Spencer

It’s probably too early to reveal DQIX, but I’m confident it’s still coming. Maybe not from Square Enix though…

  • karasuKumo

I want to cry lol E3 ruined for me :P

  • marc_89

My god no Agito?!? This probably means the game wont come out for another year…
God damn its a psp game and its been in development for 2-3 years already! I’m mad!

  • Kris

    Arg, swearing filter. -_-
Anyway, they should just retitle VsXIII Final Fantasy XV. That way Squenix won’t spend the next 20 years releasing XIII spin-offs.

    • Spencer

Ah sorry, the “swearing” filter is in place to weed out namecalling and personal attacks on other commenters. It’s like those shield spells from Digital Devil Saga. Flame repel or something.

      • Kris

That’s quite alright, there’s really no need to swear. I’m just a bit feisty sometimes. :p

  • P4ine

When Nomura got a say at SE, he was interested in doing good games. Once he smelled the money, he turned into a total dumbass.

Seriously, what a lame lineup. Only T3B looks interesting.

  • BrotherCavil

And Nomura further continues to epically fail, and wonderfully suck.

    • Aoshi00

I say forget Nomura, ask the Gooch, Uematsu, & Kitase, to do a FF15… well, since LO was FF11, I guess Last story would have to be FF14.. filling in the slots of Online I/II.

      • BrotherCavil

        Sounds good to me! :>

  • Slashlen

And that’s 2 things I was looking forward to from E3 down. Things are proceeding as planned…

  • Masengan

I’m really hoping for some surprises this E3.

  • maxchain

None of those is Blood of Bahamut, that’s interesting. And by interesting I mean inexcusable.

  • modorenai

Argh, Final Fantasy Versus XIII was my most anticipated of the three FFXIII games (I’m a sucker for stories where love interests have the fight against each other), but now that it’s taking so long to be finished, I wonder if I’ll even care when it comes out. i_i
