Final Fantasy IX Finally Comes To PSN On June 15

By Spencer . June 11, 2010 . 5:38am

imageArriving fashionably late, compared to Japan and Europe, Final Fantasy IX will be on PlayStation Network next Tuesday.

So, you can kidnap Garnet, defeat Garland, and search for yummy food (seriously, why was Quina in the game other than comic relief) all over again after Sony’s E3 press conference.

Final Fantasy IX costs $9.99 and is compatible with PlayStation 3 and PSP.

Oh FFIX, I really had a love/hate relationship with you. rar, when I played you I hated you, but looking back I only have fond memories >w<'

I’m getting this version. Proper 60hz, here I come.

  • I was playing PS2 when this came out the first time. Glad to have another chance. It’s always more fun to play a first-run through along with a community of like-minded and excited peers.

    Awesome sauce.

I remember really liking FF9, but it’s been 7 or 8 years since I’ve played it. I’m really looking forward to going back through it and finding out where it fits on my list of favorite FF games.

Sweet, I can’t wait to see Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, and Eiko again :) Will d/l this right away, but need to watch the World Cup…

    • RupanIII

Heh speaking of Zidane France must be missing him, did you see the matches today?

      • Aoshi00

yea, we all miss his deadly headbutt lol, I’m kind of rooting for the underdogs, just want to be surprised. Nah, missed the first day, was at work, both games were a draw though. I’m going to watch some on the weekend. Wish I understand Spanish..

        • RupanIII

Heh yea, forgot most of my Spanish since hs : I wish the English announcers yelled GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Speaking of underdogs, did you see England v USA? Robert Green should take a long vacation before going back to England

          • Aoshi00

yep, he blew that one big time, well you can’t catch ’em all. I wish I had taken Spanish instead of Latin in high school.. I understand words like ahora, manana, Inglaterra or Goooooooool, so that’s okay :) Still more fun than watching it on US broadcast. It’s always nice to see South Korea play (they played nice in 2002), really a force to be reckoned w/.

          • RupanIII

Yea, he’ll have a tough time living it down. If they keep him in their next match he’s gonna be under a lot of pressure to redeem himself. I missed S. Korea >.< I set an alarm but fell back to sleep lol Gonna have to find it online

Well, it’s about damn time it landed on the US PSN. Now, Square Enix, can we please have Vagrant Story, too?
